Talk about last minute!! I barely made it with this one. My first thought was not to do a table at all. Then I remembered how disappointed Gabbi would be. I also remembered I’d bought a few nifty things at the end of the season last year. On top of that ye old tendon is doing pretty good. I’m still raring to go but going slowly.
I went with my black tablecloth again, very fitting for the holiday don’t you think? Also making a return appearance this Halloween are the silver chargers, black dinner plates and black and white dessert plates.
For the black and clear goblets I applied sparkly foam decorations that I hope will come off easy. Keeping my fingers crossed. I fan folded the black napkins and put them inside the clear goblets.
The flatware is a mishmash of two sets. The newer ones came from Wal-Mart. The set included 4 each of salad forks, knives, teaspoons and large spoons. They were a really good buy at under $5.00.
This guy still looks scary and I’m happy I only have to look at this creepy face a few more days. These purple shoe tea light holders are so cute I wish I could use them more often.
It wouldn’t be Halloween without a large hairy spider would it? It’s been ages since I’ve been thrifting and the thrift store is where I found the shiny silver fabric I’m using as a table runner. Check out the witches on the run. You go girls!!!!
The R.I.P gang wasn’t too keen on the idea of resting so here they are again. Can’t keep a good ghoul down!!
Making their appearance for the first time this year are sisters Scarlet and Cindy. They declined to share their last name and I didn’t want to rile their brooms so first names are OK with me. I couldn’t scoop them up fast enough last year at TJ Maxx. The regular price was $12.50 and I got them for $3.50. BARGAIN!!!!
Also on the bargain table at TJ Maxx last year was this gorgeous witch’s shoe centerpiece also $3.50. Can I find a good sale or what?!?!?!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner so since I’m moving a bit slower these days I should start making plans real soon. In the meantime, to all of my blogger friends on the east coast my thoughts and prayers are with you. Stay safe and hunker down. Of all things to bear my name, Hurricane Sandy….
