My body demanded that I take a break from refined sugar, flour and butter, so this was dinner for the last three days. Breakfast and lunch was a green veggie drink that my daughter politely turned her nose up at. The Mr. said it was OK, and Gabbi wouldn’t even look at it. After reading Tiffany’s Smoothie recipes yesterday I was sure I had everything to make them. But, not so much. No ginger, so making the watermelon soup wasn’t happening. My Strawberry Dinner Smoothie was simply strawberries, watermelon, organic vanilla yogurt and a scoop of vanilla protein powder whirled in ye old blender. Ok, don’t everyone run to the kitchen at once!
As for the luscious, oh so mouthwatering and tantalzing green drink; it’s spinach, watercress, kiwi, cucumber, and watermelon. Yumola!! I was really worried that I would hurl at the first sip and also about an energy decline. Neither happened, yay me!! After three days of that I need to chew something and I need to bake something. I’ll be reconnecting with my oven and mixer real soon.
