Red Velvet Cheesecake Kit. What is that you say? It’s a way to indulge in this decadent dessert without having to measure everything to put this treat together. It’s a great way to wow your guests, treat your family or simply treat yourself with a homemade Red Velvet Cheesecake. The dry ingredients and detailed instructions are included in the kit.
The steps are simple but the hard part is waiting for the cheesecake to chill overnight so that you can eat it.
Here’s a quick look at how it comes together.
- Add melted butter to the chocolate cookie crumbs that are included in the kit, pat them into the bottom of a buttered springform pan.
- Combine the Red Velvet Cheesecake mix with cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, water, and vinegar.
- Pour mixed ingredients into the prepared crust, bake, then cool it according to the instructions provided.
Included in the kit is an optional recipe for a Cream Cheese Topping, but it’s equally delicious served plain. What I loved most was that it wasn’t bitter like some “red” desserts can be and the chocolate cookie crust enhanced the cocoa in the mix. I also must tell you a small slice is plenty and it freezes very well.
This cheesecake kit will soon be available through Crush Sweets. I must also say that I am pleased as punch because this is our daughter Samara’s business. Over the years I’ve shared many of her intricately decorated cookies, now she is branching out and we couldn’t be prouder. I will keep you posted about any new offerings from Crush Sweets.
