I can definitely use a few quick cleaning tips.
Is it ever going to be spring for real and not just on the calendar? Note to Mother Nature: this wintry weather is getting old! I look at the extended weather forecasts almost every day. Which brings to mind two old adages; “A watched clock never ticks”, and “A watched pot never boils”.
What I’m looking forward to the most is going for walks, maybe planting a vegetable garden, growing herbs on the deck for sure and entertaining more often.
This is what it looks like outside. After gazing out of the living room window and begrudging every snowflake that falls I turned my attention to the room itself. It needed a good once over. I noticed a slightly worn traffic pattern, a nick in the wall from my wrestling match with the Christmas tree and a couple of ornaments hiding under the couch.
Maybe Mother Nature was giving me more time to get my house in order, literally. I enjoy spring cleaning as much as I enjoy going to the dentist. Neither are fun but necessary.
My list of chores to get my house in order is primed and ready to go. Once that is taken care of I’m sure my outlook on the calendar will be a bit brighter because of the feeling of accomplishment. One of my favorite Sunday morning activities is spending time on Houzz.com. Yesterday I came across a Pre-Entertaining Quick Cleanup Checklist. Even if your home is picture perfect every-day you may find these practical tips very helpful. Also, the one about the toy dinosaur is hilarious!
