This spring tablescape in pink is the gateway to warm weather table décor.
While looking out the window over the weekend I seen a robin and was very excited. I also wondered if the little fella knew where he was. “Hey buddy this is Michigan and you could be snowed under at any minute!” Still it was a harbinger of things to come. Speaking of things to come. You can’t go into stores without being faced with lawn/garden supplies and swimsuits no less. Now I understand that in some parts of the country the time for those things has arrived.
If we bloggers followed to a “t” the marketing methods of major retailers, we would be way past Easter and on to graduation and July 4th by now. This is all very tongue-in-cheek on my part but it is somewhat of a reality for us.
It may be safe to assume that by now most people have decided what they will serve for Easter. This doesn’t mean last minute changes won’t be made. I’ve made a few since my last post about Ideas for Easter Dessert Tables. There are also a large group that like to look for and save ideas for the next time if though their minds are already made up. Then there is the super organized group that really has their you-know-what together and are way ahead of the game with projects and dishes already finished, photographed with posts written and scheduled months in advance. I am not in that group. I think I’d like to be, but I’m not there yet.
My cute planner hasn’t been much motivation and at times I have the attention span of a gnat flitting from one idea to the other until I am completely overwhelmed and decide to hang out on Pinterest for what seems like forever. If I baked, cooked, and crafted even a quarter of what I have pinned I wouldn’t need a new idea for years. Then there is the myriad of pictures I have saved in my phone along with the folders for each season, occasion and color group I have on my laptop. I liken it to having a closet full of clothes and feeling like I have nothing to wear.
Do you guys ever feel this way? Please tell me I’m not the only one. Right now I’m toying with a couple of ideas for Easter tablescapes and finishing a crazy candy cake that I will share soon. Oh, and looking for a few brunch ideas for Mother’s Day. In the meantime I’m sharing my Pink Palooza table from a while back and setting up f0r our weekly blog hop. Celebrate Your Story link party.
