An Icy Blue and Bling Holiday Table has the same appeal of the traditional seasonal color palette but with a cooler ambiance.
Yes, I’m still cranking out holiday tablescapes and I’m almost to the end of my list. After the Red & Gold Elegant Table. I thought it was time for a cooler color palette. Along with the frosty hues, I wanted this table to have layers and before I started adding dinnerware and decor four layers were in place.
There are two tablecloths, the same ones I used on the previous table. To those, I added a satin runner with sequins. It’s topped with a fur underlayment for the centerpiece. My other goal was for this table to be chic. When it comes to chic I often turn to bling and there’s plenty here. Sequins, glitter, crystal, and china. Combine the layering with the bling and you have tons of texture. When it was finished I figuratively dropped the mic, mission accomplished.
The focal point of the centerpiece is actually two individual pieces. The candelabra sits on an overturned bowl. Both these heavy china pieces were purchased in Karlovy Vary many years ago when our son was stationed in Germany. Bling ornaments hang in front of each holder.
On each side are frosted votive holders, with bling tealight holders in front.
At each end are small round bowls filled with ornaments.
Slightly behind the candelabra are silver bling taper holders.
For the stack, I started with silver chargers followed by Noritake Windsor Platinum dinner plates, plus white salad and dessert plates. A white swirl embossed napkin is rolled and held together with a beaded napkin ring. It sits on top of the stack along with a bling reindeer which is an ornament. The last piece added is a glittery dessert fork.
Swirl handled flatware, etched tumblers, and water goblets, both two thrifted complete the setting.
There you have it, my Icy Blue and Bling Holiday Table. I hope you have all of the items crossed off your to-do list and you’re taking it easy.
