This year my goal was to use make more than one use of my Halloween decorations. I started off with Barnard and Melinda for Keisha’s 13 days of Handmade Halloween. Followed by the vignette in my foyer with the witches and creepy cloth. Last up my Goth and Glam tablescape.
I love the way music sets the mood so I’ve uploaded this one to Youtube for your viewing and listening pleasure. Before you get there though I want to share a few things about this table. I was determined not to use any orange, and decided on shades of purple. The centerpiece was created on a silver cake stand and piled with pumpkins and a gourd that I painted silver and embellished with a few rhinestones. I used the glittered skull from the Barnard and Melinda table as well as the raven and added the purple pumpkin that I got at the dollar store.
Flanking the centerpiece are stemmed cut glass votive holders and silver flocked small pillar holders that were marked 80% off at Hobby Lobby back in winter. The white tapers were placed in pillars that I painted black and were originally used to separate cake plates. Silver chargers, black everyday dinner plates, along with black and white raven plates complete the stack. This humongous piece of bling on the napkin is actually a clip on earring. Pretty nifty if I must say so myself. The silver flatware and purple on the rocks glasses are from Big Lots.
In order to add a wee bit more Halloween to the table I bought two yards of black open hole fabric from Joann’s. Those 50% off sales do come in handy. A couple of spiders here and there along with more glitter and painted pumpkins and my Halloween 2013 table is done. Hope you enjoy the video and don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel.
