While choosing my Favorite Tablescapes, Cakes and Buffet Tables from 2016, I remembered just how blessed I am to have wonderful friends like you to share my passion with. Despite a few setbacks 2016 was a good year and my intention is to make 2017 even better. Thank you so much for your visits and kind words, they mean everything to me. I hope you enjoy this walk down memory lane.
Elegant Ivory and Gold Christmas Tablescape – This was my last tablescape of the year. My previous Christmas tables was so informal and this one was the complete opposite. It’s one of my favorites because all the kids were home and they had the chance to see it up close and personal.
Sinister and Stylish Halloween Tablescape – Mr. Sweets isn’t too vocal about my tables. Typically, if it catches his eye he’ll turn on the chandelier over the table. This time he turned on the light and said, “this is nice babe, especially those small plates”. Score!!
Adding Texture to a Tablescape – Feeling that my tables were a bit one dimensional I decided to try my hand at layering. It worked well and now it’s one of my favorite things to add to a tablescape.
Cinco de Mayo Table Decorations – Wanting to try something different with a table cover, I used a wood look vinyl photography backdrop here. The family was warned not to eat on this one.
Soft Floral Tablescape – Often I hem and haw about a table décor purchase. When I laid eyes on these floral chargers there wasn’t any doubt that they were coming home with me.
Love is in the Air Romantic Tablescape – For the longest, I wanted to put two banquet tables together back to back rather than end to end. This arrangement gave me lots of room to fill up. Thank goodness for those craft store coupons and thrift store finds!
Favorite Cakes and Buffet Tables from 2016
Easy Ideas for Homegating – We don’t follow many sports teams but we’re always down for the food and fun that goes along with being fans.
Down Home Birthday Celebration Part One – I was pleased as punch to put together this dessert table for our youngest daughter Charisse. When I was laid up with a broken ankle baby girl was there for whatever needed to be done.
Painted Cakes – I didn’t do as many fondant cakes as I intended last year but I’m so happy I decided to do this one.
Dulce DeLeche Cake – This cake was very spur of the moment and luckily, I could shop my home for the props to pull it off.
Pink Glam Dessert Vignette – The desserts on this table were for my birthday. This year I’m taking it down a notch or two. Fingers crossed!
These are the link parties I participate in. Drop by and show them a little love!
