This crisp and clean tablescape uses a predominantly white palette with touches of lilac, orchid and blue.
Whew, it’s been a busy month here at Sweet Sensations and this is my last Easter Tablescape for 2016. For this table I wanted to evoke a light and airy feeling with a heavy dose of spring.
The white tablecloth is a thrift store find from many years ago. In the center of the table I placed a silver stand (another thrift find) and filled it with Easter grass, eggs, and individual blooms. This is what I call short, sweet and to the point.
The mercury glass candlesticks came from the after Christmas sale and Michaels. I knew I would get multiple uses from them. Flanking the candlesticks are cylinder vases from the dollar store, filled with Easter grass and floral blooms.
Along with them I used my tall bunny people. I’ve hand them for so long I don’t remember where I got them. They also come with a kind of funny story. Samara doesn’t like them at all. She thinks they are creepy and won’t even look at them. Poor baby!
For each place setting I used white a white charger, dinner and appetizer plate. Atop each appetizer plate is a hand painted egg that was a gift from Mr. Sweet’s sister. In addition, I included a beaded dessert fork, a gift from Samara.
For the napkin I used a fat quarter (typically used in quilting) in two different patterns, folded and placed at an angle.
Two goblets, one in orchid and the other clear round out the setting along with flatware with a basketweave motif. I’m off to finish a few things that I’m taking with us to dinner tomorrow and Charisse and Damion’s house. I wish you a peaceful and relaxing Easter Sunday and pray that you and your families will be blessed and well!
These are the linky parties I participate in. Drop by and show them a little love!
