The holidays are behind us, but now we are ramping up to celebrate the many winter birthdays in our family. For me, there’s nothing like a fancy schmancy cocktail to celebrate the day of my birth which is coming up in a few weeks. As a part of #STIRRINGSMIXOLOGYCONTEST, I’ve created a Creamy Cosmopolitan. I received product samples to use in my recipe. The views expressed here are entirely my own.
To create my cocktail I chose Stirrings Pomegranate Martini Mixer and Stirrings Cosmopolitan Rimmer. The sweet-tart blend of the pomegranate mixer paired beautifully with cranberry juice and vodka. To take it over the top, warmed Caribbean Coconut Rum with real dairy cream was added. To combine the ingredients, I gave them a whirl in the blender. The next step was to rim the edge of a coupe champagne glass with a lime wedge and then dip it in the Cosmopolitan Rimmer. To top it off, finely grated white chocolate was sprinkled on top.
As the white chocolate hit the warmed cocktail it melted slightly adding a bit more body to the drink. This recipe was enough for two drinks but could easily be made in a larger batch.
How to Make a Creamy Cosmopolitan
2 ½ oz. Vodka
2 oz. Caribbean Coconut Rum w/ Real Dairy Cream
½ cup Cranberry juice
¼ cup Stirrings Pomegranate Mixer
Stirrings Cosmopolitan Rimmer
1 oz. White Chocolate, finely grated
Warm Caribbean Coconut Rum with real dairy cream in the microwave for 35 seconds.
*Add to the cocktail shaker with the vodka and Stirrings Pomegranate Mixer and shake gently until thoroughly combined. Next, Rub lime wedge around the rim of glasses, then glass rims in Stirrings Cosmopolitan Rimmer. Pour drink mixer into prepared glasses and then sprinkle grated white chocolate on top. Makes 2 drinks.
*Adding the mixture to a blender to combine rather than a cocktail shaker is another option.

- Stirrings Cosmopolitan Rimmer
- Lime wedge
- 1 oz. White Chocolate, finely grated
- Warm Caribbean Coconut Rum with real dairy cream in the microwave for 35 seconds.
- Add to a blender with the vodka and Stirrings Pomegranate Mixer and pulse until thoroughly combined.
- Rub lime wedge around the rim of glasses, then glass rims in Stirrings Cosmopolitan Rimmer.
- Pour drink mixer into prepared glasses and then sprinkle grated white chocolate on top.
