The color palette of gray/yellow/white is one of my favorites. It’s a bit trendy but I hope it never goes out of style. For this table I threw black into the mix also. Mainly because I wanted to use these dishes with the swirl design again. I bought them on clearance from Meijer’s, my grocery store. There are so many color accent options with these and I really want to pair them with red sometime soon. Many years ago while in Las Vegas I bought the black dessert plates and they too bear a little swirl.
My table starts with an ivory polyester tablecloth topped with two gold organza chair sashes with, you guessed it, a swirl design as table runners. These were purchased online from efavormart.com. These napkins were actually the impetus for this table and they rank high on my list of favorites. Doesn’t hurt that I paid less than $4.00 for the set of four.
The black chargers are from Hobby Lobby as was the black wrought iron candelabra (I think). Along with the candelabra, for the centerpiece I used cylindrical vases lined with gray patterned scrapbook paper to hide the stems of the yellow carnations.
For stemware I chose an all black goblet, one with a black stem and an amber hobnail one. The amber one is a bit of a stretch color-wise but it works for me. What’s also a stretch is the gray handled flatware. I figured while I was going out on a limb I might as well go all the way.
These are the linky parties I participate in. Drop by and show them a little love!
