Here we are at Celebrate Your Story #49 and we couldn’t be happier to have you join us. Other than giving away baked goods, my challenge now is resisting the end of the season bargains at the craft stores. I never met a 70% off Halloween merchandise sale that I didn’t like and even though it was cold outside I made my rounds.
This was our first weekend where we needed to have the heater on but that didn’t happen. It didn’t happen because our unit finally gave out. After all of the rumbling it did this summer with the AC we knew it wouldn’t be long before it would have to be replaced. We’ve had it 20+ years and are fortunate that it held out this long. Is it me or does it seem that major appliances like to peter out right before the holidays? Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do.
You gave us lots of craft and food inspiration last week so here we go with our faves.
Sandra’s Favorites from Last Week’s Party
We’re still smack dab in the middle of tailgating season and Jennifer from Just JP gave us something new and different. Her Chicken Satay recipe sounds like my kind of munchy food.
Unearthing some cake topping or cookie dough from the back of my freezer isn’t unusual. However, never I have come across a steak. That’s what happened to Patty at Olla-Podrida and she shared a perfect recipe for Porterhouse Steak.
Chloe’s Favorites from Last Week’s Party
Jolena’s kitchen and dining room look like a spread from a magazine and I can’t wait to see her Christmas décor.
You will without a doubt be inspired when you visit Sarah at Sadie’s Seasongoods. Her vintage light fixture is amazing. Where do those ideas come from?

Sheila who blogs at My Kentucky Living has the honor of having the most clicked on link. She says her table setting is a bit “helter skelter”, but it is gorgeous without a nary piece out of place.
Well I’m off to help the Mr. with the list of heating contractors to contact! Can’t wait to see you you’ve been up to.
