Happy August party friends! Looks like the countdown is on. I’ve seen so many holiday foods and crafts pop up but I’m just not ready, are you? In what is going to feel like a couple of weeks we’re going to be inundated with all things pumpkin spice and Halloween everything! By right I should be tweaking my editorial calendar that I rarely use to get a head start on my holiday baking and tables. It’s something that I say I’m going to do every year and maybe this will be the year that I actually stick to it. Maybe.
In the meantime, I’m ready to score tons of fruit and veggies from our local markets. There is also one thing that I really want to make soon and it’s jam. While at the market last week I visited a stand that sold artisan jams. The smallest jar was $4.00 and the next size up was $6.00. I bought the blueberry cobbler jam for hubby because that’s the only kind he likes. Well he didn’t like that one he said it was too tart. Honestly, there is one local brand that he likes and nothing but that one will do. There is a peach bourbon one that I’d love to try but I’m thinking of making it myself along with a sweet onion and Sriracha. If you come across any good recipes send them my way, please.
Now it’s party time!
It seems I can never get my fill of raspberries and Sharon from is tempting me with her Mini Raspberry Cheesecakes. That swirl is everything!
The 70’s was my decade! When we built our home earth colors ruled and we even had the standard mustard color refrigerator. I loved Jenna’s Back to the 70’s Retro Recipes and look forward to trying a few of them.
Flamingos are all the rage now and it was no surprise that Chloe chose the Flamingo Pool Party Ideas as one of her favorites. Speaking of flamingos, did you catch Chloe’s Flamingo Tablescape? Gorgeous!
The second pick for Chloe came from Lori at Dining Delight. She shared a tabletop display rather than a full Tablescape. Thank you Lori this is a great idea!
The most clicked link was The Southern Living Idea House Tour Part Two that Pam from Everyday Living so graciously shared with us.
Thanks again for sharing, visiting and commenting. We love it all and wish you a happy and productive week!
