This is our 52nd link party and we’re happy that you are here!
We, bloggers, spend lots of time on the internet looking for ideas, often waiting for the proverbial lightbulb to go off propelling us to our next and possibly greatest project. On occasion, it happens, and we find ourselves happy dancing all over the place. What happens when it doesn’t? Do you sink into a pool of despair and send Pinterest inspired invitations to your pity party? Or do you blow the dust off your oven, glue gun, or plastic bin of tableware and go at it again.
I’ve done both. Naturally, the latter is the most constructive option, but a productive mini pity party can sometimes help to get your mojo back. Think back to why you started blogging. Likely, it wasn’t to have the most popular site on the web within six months or to have the editors of the Food Network and HGTV come knocking at your door. You had something to share and you loved that project whether anyone commented on it or not. Look at your old posts and delight in the progress you’ve made since day one, trust me it’s there.
When the party ends, think about what you want to share, not what Pinterest says is hot right now. Do what you do best, take pride in it, and have fun with your blog. Now let’s get this party started!
