Sugar alternatives come and go but Sweet ’N Low has endured. As part of the Featured Publishers Tastemaker program I was offered a chance to create a drink using Sweet ‘N Low. A couple of posts ago I shared a picture of a Cantaloupe Martini that I’d planned to make at a later date. Here is its hybrid, a Cantamango Green Tea Cocktail. Isn’t that a mouthful! Luckily the cantaloupe and mango that were languishing in the fridge had reached the perfect point of ripeness for this drink.
This recipe makes two drinks but depending on the size of the cocktail shaker you may have to one drink at a time using half of the ingredients. I started by brewing a cup of green tea with one packet of Sweet ’N Low. Then I pureed one cup of chopped cantaloupe and one cup of chopped mango in the food processor. I poured half of the pureed mixer, half of the green tea and 2 ounces of chilled vodka into a cocktail shaker and shook it like there was no tomorrow.
There was still pulp after pouring it through the strainer but I didn’t mind. Just consider it a little extra fiber. Ha!!!!
