With the 4th of July right around the corner and a family get together coming up soon I thought it best to assemble this table properly and quickly. I’ve had the components piled on the table and waiting for me to get in gear. No excuses for me procrastinating. At least none that are worth mentioning. Sometimes you just have to let the mood past.
My Bridal Table was full of glitz and glamour so a simple scaled back table seemed like a good idea. Have no worries I’m not abandoning all things baubles and bling.
When I started snapping pictures I mentally went over the price of everything that’s shown here. To make sure my mind wasn’t playing tricks on me I tallied the items with a calculator to make sure it was right.
The grand total of all the items shown here total, drum roll please…………$28.20. Thrift stores and clearance stores are a tablescapers best friend.
When I purchased the tablecloth last year I was so happy that it was only $2.49 I didn’t pay attention to the fact that it was for a round table. It’s working for me though because I like a little of the wood showing. We bought this dining room set when we built our home 32 years ago. Not many things last 32 years anymore.
The chargers are wooden and I have so many of them that I decided to cover these with white contact paper. Do you know how many possibilities that opens up? Expect to see lots more. The flatware was only $3.00 and I took a huge chance on combining yellow and green on the table. There I go living on the edge again!!
It wasn’t until after I had taken the pictures and sat down to edit them that I noticed a fork was askew. I do believe our resident princess was pulling a fast one on me. Thanks Gab!!!
Please forgive my lack of detail. Tomorrow is the last day of the semester and I have to put the final touches on the exams plus finish dinner. Oh darn, there I go with excuses.
