Christmas 2012 – Family

Here are the last of the our Christmas 2012 pictures. Hopefully we’ll all get together in the summer this year and keep the party going.

It amazes me how quickly time seems to fly by. When your kids are little you want them to hurry up and walk and talk. As they get to be tweens and teens you want them to sit down and be quiet. When they’re adults you still worry and want the best for them.

Parenting adult children is almost as much of a challenge as when they were little. You learn to give more unconditional love, rather than advice. It is so rewarding to discover that the values you did your best to instill took root along the way. Finding out that they “get it’ is a huge source of pride.

Most parents think they have the greatest kids on the planet and we are definitely in that group. We couldn’t asked for more loving, kind and generous children. Garth kids you make our hearts sing and fill our lives with immeasurable joy!

About Sandra

I am the proud owner of the largest sweet tooth in the world. This means that my other passion, fitness, serves me very well. As contradictory as this seems, I’m a certified fitness professional. It’s great to be able to show my clients how to have their cake and eat it too. Life is truly too short not to have dessert. As long as you have the best natural ingredients and enjoy them in moderation it’s OK. For the last twenty-five years I’ve been a cake decorator. Try as I might I can’t get it out of my blood, so I’ve decided to stop fighting it and go with the flow. Who say’s you can’t have it all?

Happy New Year, Sandra! It’s good to see a Mom praising her kids and their accomplishments. We have to keep that going forever to encourage them, keep them strong, help them in their adulthood. I’m still a “kid” myself with both parents still living, and I know I appreciate their constant show of love, nurturing and support. So glad you had a good Christmas. I hope the new year brings all kinds of joys and triumphs!

  2. Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas party. Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family!
